What is Dance Trance?

Dance Trance is a high-energy, fun, dance fitness class. We teach choreography to songs you hear on the radio — just as you know them! We then boogie to a high-cardio playlist of pop and hip-hop songs.  We're all so focused on dancing and remembering the moves to realize how great of a workout it is, until after class, that is ; )

Dance Trance DC has also become a tight-knit, positive community . Classes often end with an open invitation to grab coffee, lunch or a happy hour nearby. Members always tell us it's a great way to make friends in the area!

How it works

Dance Trance classes mix learning new choreography with dancing and sweating to a playlist of fun songs.

Come on Tuesdays and Saturdays to learn the choreography of a new song. We show you every step you need to know and practice the new song. That takes roughly 20-30 minutes for everyone to lock it into memory. We then add that to every playlist for the next 6+ weeks. Miss a class? Don't worry, we teach it again that weekend!

Sundays, we feature a quick breakdown of a song that some may already know and some may not. This is a great way to quickly add songs to your repertoire!

And at Dance Trance, we love a reason to celebrate. Themed classes are kind of our thing. Taylor Swift's birthday, Olivia Rodrigo's new album, #FreeBritney Day, Lizzo Day, Halloween (when costumes are highly encouraged) and more! Follow our Facebook page to see the latest happenings!

We want you to feel comfortable dancing with us throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Classes are currently being livestreamed for anyone who would prefer to join from home. Members also have the option to join in-studio for a socially distant class. Please note that masks and proof of vaccination are currently required for attending in-person.
